Jumble Sale 2024

Wow! We raised over £1200 and had over 200 adults (plus their lovely children) through our doors! Through very generous donations of clothes, shoes, household items, toys, books and cakes, we were able to put on a Jumble Sale for the local community in Lakenham that people were queuing down the street to come to! Thank you to everyone who volunteered and came on the day. What a success!

BEACH CLEAN 2024

Participating in the beach clean day was an enriching experience. It blended community connection with caring for our local surroundings. The storytelling of St Bridget's Well spoke to our coming together and marking the festival of Candlemas.

Families with children in Kindergarten through to Upper School, and staff, threw themselves in. Some Rowan boys worked hard digging up fishing tackle that had been buried deep over time by shifting sands.

Braver kids took the opportunity to really be at one with nature, getting into the cold February sea! We warmed up with hot drinks and home-made snacks then poured an earth candle into a purpose made mound of sand. Its lighting brought a sense of closure to our efforts. We contemplated the coming Spring and the hope that can emanate from small, concerted actions.

The beach clean was a wonderful, communal experience enjoyed by nearly 60 attendees. It intertwined community and environmental responsibility. Through collective action and mindful practices we can positively influence the health of our planet and strengthen the bonds within our community. The earth candle, flickering in the sand, encapsulated the spirit of unity and commitment that defined the day – a light that, we hope, continues to shine brightly.

Thanks to the Fezziwig Ceilidh Band and all those who joined in the evening. We had a wonderful time dancing, eating and talking together. We look forward to our Festive Ceilidh in 2024!

CHRISTMAS CAROLING 2023

In December we visited 2 care homes in Norwich and sang them some Christmas Carols. Following the singing spent some time talking with the residents and everyone who attended felt it was a really special experience. We look forward to Christmas Caroling in 2024!
